Elder Mark Ensign: Week 86: March 1, 2021

It's been a good week!

Transfers happened! We ended up having to drive like 5 hours helping people move around since we have a car which was a blast. We got to drive up to manchester and see my flat I spent almost a year in. I actually felt pretty homesick this past week, not homesick for home in Utah, but homesick for manchester as crazy as that sounds. I honestly just miss the city so much, all the members, the people, and especially the Chinese work. It's been almost 7 months since I've been teaching Chinese lessons which is really sad. It's definitely a miracle that I'm still somewhat able to understand and speak chinese, although it's not as good as I'm sure it could be. I'm hoping that for my last 2 transfers (that's all I have left after this one

) I'll get back to manchester or even liverpool.

Elder maruhi and I get along pretty well so far though, theres definitely a bit of a language difference when it comes to humour and whatnot but it's alright, we're both getting to work which is really good. Its been a couple months since I've had a companion that's not a native English speaker. Hes really good though! We're already getting a lot done and its only been a week.

Elder Maruhi has been on a diet though - basically not eating many carbs so now I'm on that. Its kinda weird eating salads for lunch and no rice/pasta but it's good! Actually kinda fun haha, I feel a lot healthier which is nice. Theres some cookies we bought at the store and other sweets left over from last transfer so I'm savouring those while they last haha. Also bought some oreo dairy milks at the store cause cant live without those, diet or not
