Week 79: January 12, 2021

Hey everyone!

Its transfers this week! And I'm staying in Newcastle with Elder Newell! Pretty excited cause we get along really well, so it should be a fun transfer! A bunch more missionaries went home though, so now there's only 88 missionaries in the whole mission. For reference, the mission had about 130 missionaries before coronavirus, but now nobody can get to the mission. It may not seem like a huge difference, but that also means that about 20 areas throughout the mission no longer have missionaries in them. Super sad, but we will hopefully get more missionaries soon!

Elder Newell & I have been absolutely wrecked like everyday this past week. We've just been tired all the time and dont feel great. Probably cause we've been eating leftover junk food from Christmas and also staring at our phones all day but who knows 🤷‍♂️ Elder Newell got an app on his phone that has a bunch of white noises and also stories to help you relax and also sleep at night so we've been falling asleep every night listening to Matthew McConaughey reading us a bedtime story. Highly recommend haha

Miracle monday! The monday before transfers is always called “miracle monday”, since it's the last day of the transfer we try to work hard and expect miracles. And yesterday was probably one of the most coolest ones at least for me, a couple zones got together and had a little competition to see how many new people we could find to teach and how many invitations we could extend. And Elder Newell ended up finding literally 7 friends by himself  I found like 2 people which would normally be a lot for one day, but pales in comparison to Elder Newell. “God has not ceased to be a God of miracles.”
