Hey everyone
Wow well I'm getting transferred tomorrow. I'm leaving manchester and going to another english area! I'm going to Burnley which probably none of you have ever heard of, I'd never heard of it either. My companion is Elder Price, I dont know like anything about him but I think he was serving in the US before covid? And he's from Wales? Idk I'll find out tomorrow I guess. Definitely excited for a new area but of course sad to leave manchester behind after 8 transfers
We met President & Sister Johnson in person this week and wowww they are sooo nice. They are completely different from the McReynolds (we can now wear floral ties), but they're super nice! I can also now say I've hugged a general authority that also spoke in conference. So lets goo
We started offering free english classes to Chinese people. And the first person we met with was literally golden. She's from Hong Kong but living in England now. She talked about how a sister missionary from the church used to try to talk to her like everyday back when she was in Hong Kong, but she never talked to her because she was always busy. She said she always felt bad she didnt stop and talk, and when we met her on friday she said she wants to give us the opportunity to “convince” her that Jesus is real. So that was quite interesting and she's literally sooo good. She also watched the Why I Believe devotional last sunday so that was quite a surprise
We met with a man from Greece who's been meeting with the missionaries for quite a while now. He has lots of questions but we're pretty much always able to use the book of Mormon to answer his questions. After we answered one of his really obscure questions this past week using the book of Mormon he went: “wow, wowwww! This book has the answers to everything!”
Isn't that kinda true though?
Like obviously the Book of Mormon doesnt have the answers to every single question, that would be impossible. But it does have the answers to some of the most important questions, and God leaves it up to us to answer other questions ourselves, whether it's through personal revelation or through our own efforts. And I think that's kinda a beautiful thing about the gospel
